Trucks and large SUVs usually out-earn sedans of the same era — their panels, lighting and drivetrain parts sell for more and fit a wider range of years. The ranking below is ordered by real parts take-home, so you can see it directly.
How is part-out value calculated?
For each generation we price the parts worth pulling against current used-market listings, subtract selling fees to get take-home per part, and rank them. The figure shown is the take-home from the top sellers — a floor, since a full teardown yields more.
